What were birthday parties like for you as a kid? If you’re anything like us, birthday parties were magical, super fun and usually pretty stripped back in comparison to the types of kids parties we all see today.

In honor of our ninth birthday this month, we have found some of the most fun birthday party inspo that pulls in some of the good, old-fashioned fun we so loved as kids ourselves. These are the parties that we would have wanted to attend as kids but also appeal to us as parents now.

Camp Under The Stars

If you are anywhere in the world where the weather is nice enough for camping right now, count your lucky stars. We love this idea of camping with a twist. Think bbq, campfire and yummy s’mores…but add in the modern day tent and creature comforts and we call it a win-win!

Celebrate at the Cinema

A birthday party staple when we were growing up and one that never disappoints. A trip to the cinema with your friends and a giant box of popcorn followed by cake and ice cream…show us a kid who wouldn’t love this!

An Artistic Twist

We absolutely love this idea….a canvas, apron and painting session for the kids that leaves them with their very own birthday party souvenir to take home and hang in their room. What a brilliant way to get their creative juices flowing and shine a light on the arts!

Good Old-Fashioned Scavenger Hunt

What better way to bring a group together for bonding, and a bit of healthy competition, than with a scavenger hunt. This is such a birthday party classic and one that we think still carries a lot of weight with kids today. Get them off the devices and out and about having fun, finding clues and competing to be the ultimate winners.

Birthday parties are such a wonderful, memorable part of childhood. Parents…try and take the pressure off yourselves as much as possible. You’d be amazed by what our children will think is just incredible. Make their party for them, not what Pinterest or Instagram are telling you it should be. Shipping & Returns

How long until my order ships?

All items ship within 72 hours with the exception of our Personalized Designer Dolls, which can take up to 2 weeks, as they are made to order.

After my order ships, how long does it take to get to me?

Within the United Arab Emirates it takes 1-2 days and internationally it takes 3-5 days. Most of our international orders ship via FedEx. You will receive a tracking number by email once the courier has collected your order from our studio.

Where does my doll ship from?

All our dolls are handmade in the United Arab Emirates and ship from there.

Will I have to pay customs and duty charges?

Please be advised that international orders may incur a customs or duty charge upon entering your country. These charges are determined and paid to your government. Dumyé does not have any control over these charges. Please touch base with your countries customs office for more details. While we cannot guarantee it, historically speaking dolls shipped to the USA have not incurred any additional charges upon entering the country.

Can I return my order?

We want you to be super happy with your doll. If you're not, we would like the opportunity to make it right. You may return any order within 14 days of receiving it. Send us an email to hello@dumye.com and we will let you know what needs to happen next. Shipping is nonrefundable. Please note, our Personalized Designer Dolls and any doll that has been personalized with a monogrammed heart has been made just for you and is not eligible to be returned. If your order is defected please except our apologies and send us an email to hello@dumye.com with a picture of the defect, so we can swiftly make things right.
